The Dark Side of the Mood – Yoga for Anxiety and Depression: A Therapeutic Approach with Jedda Davis
Due to the success of our previous DARK SIDE OF THE MOOD intensive, we will be running a follow-up evening for both new and returning students. Come again if you have previously joined us – OR sign up for your first experience if you missed out last time! Once again this will be a three-hour workshop, designed with a specific focus on managing symptoms of depression and anxiety; where we will come together to explore a variety of ways that mental wellbeing can be rebalanced through a regular yoga practice.
Jedda Davis is a teacher at Moksha Yoga and knows the path of depression well. She suffered intermittent bouts of severe depression for many years before exploring the path of yoga more deeply. In yoga she found respite, and discovered a feeling of wellness and connectedness that was undeniably due to the intricate effects of this ancient practice.
Jedda is excited to share her experiences with you in a workshop format. She will present specifically tailored asana, (physical postures) pranayama, (breathing practices), guided meditation and relaxation techniques to encourage a feeling of wellbeing that permeates both body and mind. This workshop will provide the opportunity for attendees to develop the awareness of specific yogic tools that may provide support when depression and anxiety symptoms arise. There will be opportunities for sharing and discussion within a safe and nurturing space, as well as the option to simply listen and practice.
Come along to energise your body, calm your mind, and uplift your spirit; and to learn how a yoga practice can empower you to move through and beyond the challenges of anxiety and depression. Our aim is for you to leave this workshop feeling empowered to manage life in a way that inspires and guides you to your highest purpose, and to a life of fulfilment.
All levels of yoga experience are welcome to attend, including beginners.
