Sharon Hands – Yoga Teacher

Sharon moved from the UK in 2003.  Since moving to Australia she has completed her Bachelor of Business and completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2007 whilst being mentored by Emma for the duration of the course.  Sharon initially looked to yoga as a way to deal with the associated stress of being accountant however soon discovered that her yoga practice not only helped with stress and deadlines but also with everyday life – experiencing many benefits, not only physically, but also energetically – including an improved sense of balance, clarity and compassion.

Sharon is extremely passionate and committed towards her continual development as a practitioner, and teacher, of yoga and hopes that sharing her own experiences along the way will provide similar benefits to her students on and off their mats.  Sharon enjoys teaching a strong, purposeful and cleansing practice promoting the self-healing capabilities of the body and mind.  As a result Sharon has created a strong student base at Moksha and those who attend her classes feel her passion and are inspired by her dedication, openness and willingness to share her passion of Yoga.

Sharon is extremely thankful to Emma for her guidance and support and to her students who provide continual inspiration.

I believe that we learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living, the principles are the same. In each, it is the performance of a dedicated precise set of acts, physical or intellectual, from which comes shape of achievement, a sense of one's being, a satisfaction of spirit. One becomes, in some area, an athlete of God. Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles, some act of vision, of faith, of desire. Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired.
