Jedda Davis – Yoga Teacher

Jedda Davis completed her Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching with the Australian Yoga Academy, under the guidance of Dominique Santana Salerno. She comes to yoga with a background in dance, and many years of experience teaching Performing Arts to children in schools. Transitioning from the classroom to the yoga studio, Jedda has been inspired to deepen her practice and share her love of yoga with others, upon recognising the healing and transformational qualities yoga brings to her own life. Jedda has now been practicing yoga for ten years. She integrates elements of Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow into her practice, and offers an approach of warmth and lightheartedness to her sessions. A member of Yoga Australia, she is passionate about teaching, and delights in sharing the gift of yoga with her students, young and old.

I believe that we learn by practice. Whether it means to learn to dance by practicing dancing or to learn to live by practicing living, the principles are the same. In each, it is the performance of a dedicated precise set of acts, physical or intellectual, from which comes shape of achievement, a sense of one's being, a satisfaction of spirit. One becomes, in some area, an athlete of God. Practice means to perform, over and over again in the face of all obstacles, some act of vision, of faith, of desire. Practice is a means of inviting the perfection desired.
