Emma’s passion for Yoga began in her early teens when she picked up her first Yoga Book and started to explore the philosophy, science and practices of Yoga.  Her commitment to asana practice grew much deeper in 1998 when she started to travel around Australia.  Emma has continued to deepen her knowledge and experience of Yoga whilst undertaking additional Yoga studies in both Australia and the United Kingdom since she completed her training in 2003.

Emma is a highly respected Yoga Teacher, Teacher Trainer as well as a freelance writer contributing to the bi-monthly publications of Australian Natural Health Magazine.  She is regarded with a strong reputation for her in-depth, applied knowledge of gross anatomy, systemic physiology, energy anatomy and Yoga as a therapy.  As a result Emma has practiced as a Yoga Therapist since 2005 working with individual students who are managing physical and psychological injuries.  Emma remains a dedicated student of Yoga and continues her Yoga studies at every given opportunity.  Her knowledge and passion of yoga is profound, and she has devoted her life to sharing that love of Yoga with others.

Today, Emma teaches classes that are dynamic and challenging to both the body and mind.  Her classes are interwoven with the holistic benefits of the practice including how asana benefits the internal organs and systems as well as integrating her love of Yoga philosophy.  Her classes are a fusion of strong, powerful and energetic asana and pranayama combined with a deeply spiritual undertone providing a holistic Yoga experience.  Emma created Moksha Yoga with the view of creating a community of dedicated students and teachers, and she continues to openly share her knowledge, passion and love for Yoga.

Inspiration

"Every soul innately yearns for stillness, for a space, a garden where we can till, sow, reap, and rest, and by doing so come to a deeper sense of self and our place in the universe. Silence is not an absence but a presence. Not an emptiness but repletion A filling up."
