Philip Watkins is a practicing Naturopath and Homeopath who specialises in optimising the traditional aspects of natural medicine with evidence based medicine. By combining iridology, herbal medicine, clinical nutrition and flower essence therapy, Philip brings a holistic philosophy that focuses on the empowerment, longevity and education of the patient.

Philip’s treatment philosophy is based firmly around the traditional principles of naturopathy and homeopathy that state the body has the innate capacity to heal itself together with prevention being the best form of cure. The practitioner should simply be a catalyst for patients to help themselves and it is this level of empowerment that forms the basis of Philip’s treatment. In order to achieve these goals in treatment, patients can expect their consultations to be both a learning experience as well as a healing one.

Famous for his use of the white board, Philip will often utilise the consultation to help the patient to learn more about themselves and their health with a successful treatment entailing the patients walking away with tools to help themselves in the long term.

Inspiration

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. ... No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.
